X-Rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation having high energy and very short wavelengths which is able to pass through opaque objects. The most common and beneficial uses of X- rays is for medical imaging. When fast-moving electrons strike a target of high atomic weight, x - rays are produced. The x - rays produced are not of a single wavelength. They are found to have wavelengths varying continuously between some minimum and maximum values along with some well-defined wavelengths.
